IT consulting in Jakarta for assessments, architecture and roadmaps

We work with management and IT teams to decide what should be built, bought or connected, and in what order.

IT consulting scope

Blueprint with a compass and rolled paper
  • Technology assessment

We review the applications, data, infrastructure and processes in place, then record the problems and their priority.

  • Technology roadmap

A phased sequence of projects that follows your priorities and budget.

  • Solution architecture

A design of the target system: components, data flows, integration points and the technology choice for each part.

  • Integration plan

The steps for connecting new systems to existing ones, including the order of data migration and the split of tasks between vendors.

  • Process digitalisation

Mapping the manual processes that can move into applications, the order in which to move them, and support for the users affected.

  • Governance

The security requirements, standards and controls the new system must meet, including access rights and an audit trail of data changes.

Examples of decisions covered in consulting

  • Build or buy

A comparison of cost, time and fit with your workflows, including maintenance costs once the system is live.

  • Own servers or cloud

Where data and applications should sit, based on your data security policy, access needs and the capacity of your IT team.

  • Replace the old system or connect it

An assessment of whether the existing system is still fit to keep and connect, or should be replaced in stages.

  • Using existing CCTV for analytics

A check of whether the installed cameras and recorders can be used for AI CCTV before a budget for new cameras is drawn up.

  • Data readiness for AI

An assessment of whether your data is complete and clean enough for an AI project, and what needs fixing first.

  • Sequencing projects on a limited budget

Which projects come first, and which depend on others.

IT consulting phases

  1. Assessment

We interview management and users, review existing systems and documents, then write an assessment report with the findings, their impact on operations and an order of priority. We present this report before moving on to design.

  2. Architecture

We design the target system: components, data flows and integration points with existing systems. For each part we set out several technology options, with their advantages, risks and effect on cost and maintenance.

  3. Plan

We prepare a phased roadmap with the sequence of projects, the dependencies between them and estimated resource needs. Your team can use it to prepare budgets, schedules and technical criteria for procurement.

  4. Advisory support

During implementation, we review vendor designs and deliverables against the agreed architecture, answer technical questions and update the plan when conditions change.

Can we engage you for consulting only, without the build?

Yes. Consulting can be a separate engagement, and either we or another vendor can carry out the build.

It depends on the number of systems, business units and interviewees involved. We propose a schedule after the first meeting, together with the list of interviewees and documents to prepare.

Can the assessment be used to prepare procurement documents?

Yes. The architecture diagrams and technical criteria from the assessment can be used as input for specifications when your team prepares procurement documents.

Can MVP help select vendors or products?

Yes. We set technical criteria and compare the available options, including their risks and maintenance costs.

Will the consultants come to our office?

Yes. Interviews and workshops can be held at your office. Our own office is in Pancoran, South Jakarta.

Does the consulting cover information security?

Yes, it covers the security requirements, standards and controls the new system must meet. These appear under governance in the assessment report.
